10 Days Morocco Grand Tour – From Fes to Tangier

Your adventure starts with pick-up at Fes airport or your accommodation. The day is dedicated to exploring the ancient city of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual heart.

Overnight: Charming Riad in Fes

We head south towards the Middle Atlas. First, visit Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style houses and snowy winters.

Then, enjoy nature in the Cedar Forest, home to the playful Barbary macaques. Lunch stop in Midelt, nestled between the mountains.

We continue via the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its endless palm groves. Finally, we reach the Merzouga Sahara, gateway to the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes.

Camel ride through the dunes, sunset stop on the sand, then overnight in a luxury desert camp with dinner, live music, and stargazing.

Early morning, admire the sunrise over the dunes, then camel ride back to Merzouga. After breakfast, explore the desert region by 4x4:

After breakfast, visit the lively Rissani market, famous for its authentic desert atmosphere. Then explore Erfoud, known for fossilized marble workshops.

We journey to the spectacular Todra Gorges, dramatic canyon walls rising 300m high. Ideal spot for a scenic walk or rock climbing.

Later, drive through the Dades Valley, stopping at rock formations like the famous “Monkey Fingers”.

We drive through Kalaa Mgouna, center of Morocco's Rose Festival held every May. Continue through Skoura’s palm groves to reach Ouarzazate, nicknamed “Hollywood of Africa”. Optional visit to film studios.

Then explore Ait Ben Haddou, UNESCO-listed fortified village seen in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass, descending into vibrant Marrakech.

Today we head to the laid-back coastal city of Essaouira, stopping en route to see the famous goats in the Argan trees.

✔️ Visit the fishing port and sample fresh seafood

We follow the Atlantic coastline to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and business hub. Highlights:

✔️ Tour of Hassan II Mosque, Africa’s largest mosque with a stunning oceanfront location
✔️ Stroll along the Corniche seaside promenade

Later, we reach Rabat, Morocco’s capital.

Morning visit to Rabat’s landmarks:

We then drive through the Rif Mountains to enchanting Chefchaouen, famous for its blue-painted streets and mountain setting.

Overnight: Riad in Chefchaouen

Depending on your flight time, enjoy free time exploring Chefchaouen’s photogenic alleys, artisan shops, and panoramic viewpoints.
