2 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga – Private Morocco Desert Experience

Your adventure begins with an early pickup from your hotel or riad in Fes. We drive south through the scenic Middle Atlas, stopping at:

✔️ Ifrane – Known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its alpine-style architecture and snow-capped winters.
✔️ Cedars Forest – Home to the famous Barbary macaque monkeys — enjoy a walk among ancient cedar trees.
✔️ Midelt – Lunch break in this mountain town known for its apple orchards and stunning views.
✔️ Ziz Valley – Drive along the winding roads of the Ziz river, passing lush palm groves and dramatic gorges.

In the afternoon, we reach the edge of the Merzouga Sahara Desert, where you swap your vehicle for camels and ride across the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Enjoy a magical sunset from the top of a high dune before continuing to your luxury desert camp. There, you'll be welcomed with traditional mint tea, followed by dinner and a night of Berber music under the starry desert sky.

Overnight: Luxury camp in the middle of the Sahara Desert.

After an early morning wake-up to witness the breathtaking desert sunrise, breakfast is served at the camp. Then, ride camels back to Merzouga where your driver awaits.

On the return journey:

✔️ Rissani – Visit the traditional market (souk) of this historic town, especially lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
✔️ Erfoud – Known for its fossil workshops, where you can learn about the region’s prehistoric treasures.
✔️ Ziz Valley – Stop for panoramic views over the lush valley and its palm groves.
✔️ Ifrane & Cedars Forest – Final photo stops before reaching Fes.
